Summary: Rooms starting to show their age. No shelf space in the bathroom and very little space around the basin. Pillows too soft. Sofa beds do not make comfortable couches in a "deluxe suite" No toasters in the rooms and the excuse for this is not acceptable. Restaurant at the Governors is overrated. Breakfast in the dining space is very good but the staff are all young backpackers who would rather be somewhere else. If location is of paramount importance this is a go-to destination, otherwise, assess your options ....

Summary: I would stay at the Governors Lodge again. The staff are great, helpful and friendly. The cabins are basically a small house and very comfortable. The pool was good. If you have a car you park outside your cabin and the lodge can organise your car hire for you. Tour coaches stop outside reception. Bailey's restaurant is slightly upmarket with delicious food. The only negative is no free wifi and the paid wifi isn't stable. It's a walk into Burnt Pine township but no problem if you're fit.

Summary: Food In Bailey’s really good. No free wifi or aircon. Although the fans did the job, as it wasn’t too hot, so not necessarily a complaint! Staff friendly and mostly very helpful

Summary: The Deluxe One Bedroom Cabin was spacious and clean. Some of the furniture was dated and the lounge is worn. The gardens are impressive, whilst the pool and spa were popular spots each afternoon. It is a quiet location with nice views. Unfortunately, there is no cooking allowed in the cabin not even a toaster which was disappointing. The WiFi is very limited.

Summary: Easy walk to town but car required to get to beach. Restaurant was closed and cafe unavailable often, but food always available across the road at Hilli's.

Summary: We bought a package deal and the flight arrangements for our one case weighing 14.7 kg were dreadful. Air New Zealand who took over from Virgin from Sydney to Norfolk wanted 186 dollars one way to as the luggage was only covered from Melbourne to Sydney. Who would want a ticket that left their luggage in Sydney.
